Boko Haram suspects reportedly stormed Kukawa town, Borno State, on October 27, killing several people and destroying property.
The terrorists invaded the historical town the early morning of Monday, killed 3 civilians and set ablaze popular buildings, including the headquarters of Kukawa LGA and a police station, Punch reports. According to a residents, the attack lasted for the whole day, until 10pm
One of the locals identified as Mallam Modu said that the sect members entered the town in Hilux vehicles and motorcycles and continued:
“The insurgents razed down the Kukawa Divisional Police station and some public buildings in the town. I cannot tell the casualty figure because we had to flee the town to save our lives.”
Another witness, Modu Mohammed, narrated how people were running away in fear for their lives, adding that 3 were murdered.
