In a new video obtained by AFP, Boko Haram Leader – Abubakar Shekhau, has dismissed reports about his death.

“Here I am, alive. I will only die the day Allah takes my breath,” Shekhau reportedly said, in the video released on Thursday.

The 36-minute video is also said to show graphic images of a beheading, an amputation, and an individual being stoned to death, while Shekhau states that Boko Haram is running an Islamic caliphate in which they are delivering stringent sharia punishments.

Also, he stated that the Airforce jet that went missing on September 11th in the Northeast, was actually shot down by Boko Haram.

This video comes shortly after the Nigerian Military’s reports that Shekhau had been killed.
