American Pop superstar, Chris Brown’s representatives have revealed that his scheduled New Year’s Eve concert in the Philippines was cancelled at the last minute because he lost his passport.
The singer tweeted: ‘Due to unfortunate circumstances i can’t bring in the new year with you. Too bad since the Philippines Arena is one of the best arenas in the world! Stay tuned Team Breezy!!!!! #TeamBreezyManila i’ll see you in spring!’
According to the event organisers, Maligaya Development Corp, they were informed by Chris Brown’s representatives on December 31, 2014 that he was still in Los Angeles. They further released a statement saying: ‘According to them, Chris Brown lost his passport the day before the event; hence despite having entered into a contract with us, Chris Brown would not be able to comply with his obligation to perform.’
No legal action is being considered against the singer at the moment for the breach of contract.
