Ace comedian, Julius Agwu, will be staging the 10th anniversary of his annual comedy show, Crack Ya Ribs at the Hackney Empire in London on Sunday, August 30, 2015.
The comedian, who has just had a successful brain surgery, is leaving nothing to chance to stage the event. The celebration will begin with an anniversary tour to be held at the Beach Ball Room in Aberdeen, Scotland on August 22, 2015.
The show will feature performances from top entertainers like Okey Bakassi, I Go Dye, Korede Bello, London-based Ghanaian comedian, Kojo, AY, Seyi Brown and Oyinbo Princess, among others.
Speaking ahead of the event, Agwu describes it as a confirmation of God’s faithfulness and grace over the years. Also, commenting on his choice of Korede Bello as the lead musical act, he says it is because God miraculously healed him and that could be only interpreted in Korede’s latest hit song, ‘God Win’.
“In the last one decade, we have been staging Crack Ya Ribs show in London to the delight of the people and built great followership. Aside being the first Nigerian entertainer to stage such shows in London, we have stayed committed to the cause of laundering Nigeria’s image with it positively and consistently in the last 10 years. As I always say, entertainment still remains the only way to promote the country’s image positively around the world due to the immense attention we are currently receiving,” he says.
Since inception, Crack Ya Ribs has been hosted in different parts of Nigeria, Europe and the United States of America.
