The versatile artiste and guitarist who recently celebrated his 30th birthday releasing two singles No Wishes and Coolu Down has revealed that he produces his own songs going by the name De Freq.
In an exclusive phone interview with Showtime, the singer opened up on what he has been up to lately and why he has chosen to produce his own songs.
His words:”I haven’t been off the music scene, in fact I have been working and ‘baking’ my soon-to-be released album. I have always wanted to be a complete musician so I decided to learn the art of music production, mixing and mastering.
I am a student of self-reliance. I believe in doing things by myself and also leveraging on the strengths of other professionals. No one is an island. I look at someone like Don jazzy and I am inspired by the amount of work he puts in his craft.
I believe as artistes there must be something that should sustain you and keep you relevant”
The suave artiste also revealed that he has up to 200 songs yet to be released and his album will be dropping November 2014.
